At The Airway Center, we believe in giving back to our community. Our passion for service goes beyond dental care - we're committed to improving smiles and lives. Since 2007, Dr. Tanner and his team has engaged in free dental services for those in need.
Past Initiative Highlights
The Kids Dash
Dr. Tanner started the Kids Dash in 2012 to raise awareness about community health, he ran this event for 2 years and then passed it off, but this year his office took it on again to keep this great even going. Local organizations joined together with sponsors such as KidZone Foundation and Club Northwest to raise Money for the Oregon Athletic Foundation and put on a great event for families and to encourage healthy and active lives in our community.
In 2015 Dr. Tanner received the bronze Presidents volunteer service award for his extensive involvement in community dental services. From volunteering regularly with Medical Teams International, organizing volunteer dentistry dates with colleagues and opening his office for dedicated days to free dentistry, Dr. Tanner has facilitated care for those in need for many wonderful people.
Dr. Tanner received the 2017 Biggie award for outstanding service to our community in promoting physical activity for children and teens.
