Explore the connection between behavioral concerns and inadequate airway health

Attention Deficit Problems (fidgety, easily distracted, interrupts frequently)
Have you ever noticed how a grandchild and grandparent interact late at night? The child often becomes increasingly silly, wild, and energetic, while the grandparent slows down, gets fatigued, and may even doze off while reading a bedtime story. This phenomenon, known as "tired and wired", and is something any child can experience from a lack of quality sleep. If your child exhibits disrupted sleep, bed-wetting, a short attention span, or a notably low tolerance for stress, you might be surprised to learn that these conditions could be linked to an issue with proper oxygenation.
We do not diagnose or treat attention deficit disorder, ADHD, or any behavioral or psychological condition. Behavioral concerns should be evaluated by your child's physician or a qualified behavioral health provider.
Researchers have explored associations between poor sleep quality and daytime behavior in children. Where a child shows signs of disrupted sleep or a possible airway concern, a dental evaluation may be one part of a broader assessment carried out together with your child's medical team. Some families report improvements in sleep and daytime functioning, though individual results vary and are not guaranteed.
